My favorite shopping destination is back with another big Sale! There’s still a nip in the air but it’s never too early to start planning your spring/summer wardrobe right? I am completely a “sunny weather” kind of girl and the thought of floral skirts, maxi dresses and bright colors cheers me up like nothing else. It’s almost time to pack up those heavy woolens, wear pretty dresses and flaunt bare legs. LimeRoad is launching their Big Day Big Sale tomorrow, <!– /* Font Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:"Cambria Math"; panose-1:2 4 5 3 5 4 6 3 2 4; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:auto; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:-536870145 1107305727 0 0 415 0;} @font-face {font-family:Cambria; panose-1:2 4 5 3 5 4 6 3 2 4; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:auto; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:-536870145 1073743103 0 0 415 0;} @font-face {font-family:"MS Mincho"; mso-font-alt:"MS 明朝"; mso-font-charset:128; mso-generic-font-family:modern; mso-font-pitch:fixed; mso-font-signature:-536870145 1791491579 18 0 131231 0;} /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-unhide:no; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; margin:0cm; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:Cambria; mso-fareast-font-family:"MS Mincho"; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman";} .MsoChpDefault {mso-style-type:export-only; mso-default-props:yes; font-size:10.0pt; mso-ansi-font-size:10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Cambria; mso-ascii-font-family:Cambria; mso-fareast-font-family:"MS Mincho"; mso-hansi-font-family:Cambria;} @page WordSection1 {size:612.0pt 792.0pt; margin:72.0pt 90.0pt 72.0pt 90.0pt; mso-header-margin:36.0pt; mso-footer-margin:36.0pt; mso-paper-source:0;} div.WordSection1 {page:WordSection1;} -where you can find Buy 1 Get 1 deals on various products. So if you want to grab the right look for the summer season, take a look at the looks I’ve put together for you guys.
Look 1:
A comfortable daytime look has almost become synonymous with wearing a maxi dress! You can make it dressy by adding a little bling to go with your outfit. Coral and emerald is one color combination that I really love. It’s bright but not too in your face. You can add one statement accessory like this emerald necklace and keep the rest of your accessories neutral. These white slip-on sandals and the structured bag add the perfect finishing touches.

Look 2:
Printed dresses are perfect for those days when you are not really in the mood dress up or when you need to head out in a hurry. Since the dress itself makes a statement there is no need to pile on too many accessories. This bird print dress with a pair of comfortable wedges is what I would wear and settle down all day long in my favorite coffee shop with a book in my hand! If you do want to accessorize all you need to do is throw on a statement necklace.

Look 3:
Outdoor parties, good music, evening sunsets, bright lights and great friends to top if off! When the sun goes down, the music goes up. Are you ready for summer parties yet? Use a solid colored dress as a blank canvas to get high on accessories!

The best part about Hyderabad’s winter is that it is the perfect amount of ‘chilly’ for me. I am the kind of person who feels cold at the slightest drop in temperature so living in a city with extremely cold winters (like Delhi or anywhere up North) is a big no-no for me. It’s all about cozy sweaters and sipping hot drinks but after a while (read: a week) I can’t stand it anymore. So yes, sleeping in the same room as me with the air conditioning on, is a constant battle of finding the ‘right temperature’ to please both parties and in short an absolute nightmare for most people!
Here are some of my favorite picks from sheinside.com to add a little warmth and color to my wardrobe this winder!

I really can’t ever do without greys and blacks, so that’s the first thing that goes into my shopping bag. Just to keep it a little colorful, my next picks are a bright colorful cardigan and a more subtle pastel blue sweater. The latter’s color is so soothing and perfect for our winters.

I’ve been wanting a black ripped jeans since forever but for some reason, every time I set out to search and buy one, I end up purchasing anything and everything except that (sounds familiar?). Also I’m still big on midi skirts, and the white floral one is simply too cute to pass on. If there’s something that is a must in every wardrobe then that is a faux leather (say NO to leather) skirt/pant and drawstring trousers. Whether it’s summer, winter or any season, you can’t deny how comfortable they are!

The round clock bag is something we’ve been seeing a lot lately and why not!? It’s quirky and cute. Being an absolute lover of gold jewelry, my next two picks – the chunky layered necklace and the entwined bracelet, were a no-brainer. Lastly adding a pop of color with some delicate and intricately designed chandelier earrings!

I’ve always tried to associate myself with brands that attract me because of that ‘something different’ that they are doing. It could be a bit of social responsibility, promoting up-coming artists or eco-friendly products or simply fabulous designs and prices! 😉

When I came across sbuys.in, two things struck me – simple basic designs and great prices. And that is all that I’ve been dreaming of this summer. Cotton clothes in pleasant colors, casual shirts and basic cuts that can be teamed with almost anything. There are also associated with an NGO called ‘Arpan Donation’ as part of their SBUYS Cares initiative.

I picked a few of my favorite pieces from their new spring/summer collection, and by the time I finished putting together these outfits, am already tempted to buy a couple of them (slouchy pants – my eyes are on you!)

Look 1:

February and March Lookbook

family, Fashion, Look of the Day, lookbook, weekend
I had to meet up my friends for lunch today and now I am just back from an amazing dinner with my parents (After so long!). Its been a long day and I am desperately trying to keep my eyes open in order to type this post. If I told my 18 year old self that one day I would consider 11pm as ‘late’, I would have laughed my head off. But the day has come my friends. Its 11pm. And its late. And all I want to do is sleep and rest my body. Of course I’d feel different by tomorrow night but that’s a different matter.

Feb and March have been two very productive months this year in terms of professional life! Here’s a snapshot of how I dressed for various places in between all the professional madness!

January Lookbook

Look of the Day, lookbook, Month end review, Random ramblings
So there I was wishing everybody a happy new year and BAM! The year has come, the month has ended. End of January already. Am I making it sound like the apocalypse? I tend to be over dramatic when I am sick and in bed. Which brings me to another point. Whenever I am sick, I have this incredible urge to get out of bed, go about my daily routine, and prove to myself that I can still do it all.

Sometimes I go out of my way to do things that I wouldn’t do even on normal days. Its funny how my brain is wired all wrong. On normal days I am so lazy to do day-to-day errands like going to the bank, but when I am sick I go all out! It just shows how competitive human nature is. Always wanting to prove yourself. Luckily I am only concerned with proving it to myself and not to others! Anyway, enough talk.. now back to bed!

I typically don’t like doing a month end review post… but let’s just say I’ve had a change of heart ( or that I have no new outfits to post).
